Palm trees lined the pavement as the The Mee & Mi girls are at it again. The sun’s rays shine on our bronzed bodies as we shoot the latest styles from Cesa. Sports Luxe is one of the hottest trending styles of the season and Cesa have designed the ultimate Sports Luxe Bikini Sets for any beach babes wanting to take an edgy look to their bikini collection. Monochrome block colours and kicks are this European Summer’s statement attire. Always a favourite of ours to make a statement at the beach. Cesa have created neoprene swimsuits that are hard to go unnoticed.
Nevena wears the 2way Flyball Swim Set. This top can be worn with the zipper at the front or back, you know we love a two way style! A black t-shirt design rash vest with white netted sleeves. The bottoms creating symmetry with white netted double stranded sides to make the full set complete and matched perfectly. This design is simple yet fashion forward and also perfect for any active ladies who want to do more than just sun bathe at the beach. Perfect for stand up paddle boarding or surfing whilst still looking really cool. Suited to the beach babe wanting coverage and moveability.
Walking by her side, Kahili wears the sister set to the 2way, the Fielder Mesh Bikini Set. An all black design by Cesa, a new take on neoprene proving the material can fit the woman’s body. The Fielder Mesh top displays a high neck, which has been a common favourite with women of all ages this season, matched with black meshing to give a sexy look to a sporty active style. This top could easily be paired with denim shorts and your favourite kicks for a beach to boardwalk look, fitting perfectly with the Sports Luxe Trend.
This season’s tip is to go back to basics and keep it simple. Monochrome never dies. Mee & Mi love supporting companies and brands that are genuine and full of love and passion. Cesa was founded in 2012 and are a true testament to the swimwear industry. Proudly made and distributed worldwide from the designers Island home, the Philippines. Cesa will continue to bring brand awareness not only to Cesa but to her love of her Island home. We can’t wait to visit the Philippines and explore all that this magical country has to offer.

The image of all of all of the Yachts joined in a circle has us bursting with excitement. Just 4 months ago we were sailing around Thailand with The Yacht Week and we are so excited to jump back on board for another adventure. With summer in the Northern Hemisphere just around the corner the hardest part will be choosing which route to take! For anyone who hasn’t heard about The Yacht Week or what exactly is involved here is everything you need to know.
The Yacht Week brings together people from all over the world for an experience like no other and one that is “Nothing Like the real World”. Get together a crew, or join another crew, the website makes it really easy to connect with the other crews. The Yacht Week provides you with a Skipper who looks after your Yacht and all of the sailing which means all you have to do is enjoy yourself! You can also select to have a host/hostess on board who will cook and clean every day, which really means you are left with nothing to do but enjoy the sailing adventure!
Each day you sail to a new destination with new activities like yoga, beach volleyball and snorkeling, just to name a few! The Yacht Week endeavors to keep an even number of guys and girls on board and across all of the Yachts to keep the ratio equal. There are nightly events at each spot too with official The Yacht Week DJ’s serving you up the best tunes so you can dance all night and get to know all of the other crews!
So with that said the hardest part is choosing which route you will take. With summer in the Northern Hemisphere fast approaching here are the available options for June/July/August 2016. If you are planning a trip to any of these countries a sailing adventure is by far the best way to see the coastline! For any first timers it’s also the best way to see so many different places in the one country in a 7 day period.
Don’t forget if you can’t get over for European Summer you can always check out The Yacht Week Thailand in December January 15/16. This was the event we took part in, in December 2015 and boy was it amazing! Check out the latest video by The Yacht Week of our time on board and see for yourself just what they have instore for you!
Our Tips for The Yacht Week to ensure you have the BEST WEEK POSSIBLE!
1. Floating Devices – If the image of all of the Yachts joined in a circle didn’t inspire you to bring something that floats, we strongly advise that this is something essential! Cruise on out in the raft circle on your floaty and visit you friends on board the other yachts.
2. Dry Bag – As you spend most of your time on water a dry bag is the best thing ever to ensure you keep all of your camera gear and phones safe while going from the yacht to land.
3. Snorkelling Gear – With some of the clearest waters and vivid underwater life snorkelling gear is a must! A pair of fins and snorkels is all you need to make sure you have the best time!
4. What to pack? – Keep it simple, don’t bring too much you will end up wearing the comfiest clothing you have brought. Swimwear is a must, a white outfit for the white party and a fun costume for the Sailing Regatta.
5. The Yacht Week App – This is a MUST! Keep up to date with everything you need to know for your event.
Now comes the hard part choosing your destination! With so many routes available this is potentially the hardest decision. Whatever you decide we can guarantee you will have the time of your life and experience an adventure that is ‘Nothing Like The Real World’.
Let us know in the comments below which route you are thinking of taking? Or if you have been on any what TYW Adventures what you thought? We would love to hear from you.
Happy Sailing Everyone

Hu’u Bali bewildered us as we sipped on our welcome drinks in their enchanting dining gardens. Think Hamptons crosses traditional Bali, the Hu’u Bar is made for easy summer lounging with refreshing drinks and delicious food. After lugging our suitcases around all day exploring the streets of Bali two Lychee Martinis were well needed. Even with little energy we were so impressed by the unique décor and open outdoor area we continued to bounce around taking photos and amusing ourselves with the outdoor detailing.
Our modern double storey villa was beyond our expectations. An outdoor private pool accompanied with daybeds and lively green gardens made for a luscious area for breakfast by the pool or a day spent reading under the shade. The perfect abode to cater for a larger family or group of friends boasting two large bedrooms each with their own bathroom plus living and dining aread.
The Hu’u was situated in the heart of Seminyak on Jalan Petitenget which is known for its shopping, cafes and fine dining restaurants. If you are looking for a central location where everything can be reached via foot then the Hu’u Bali is for you!
Our last stop on our Back in Bali stay was at the Maca Villa and Spa we couldn’t have asked for a better spot to finish off our trip. As our tropical adventure was coming to an end we were looking for a private, fresh but relaxing stay to complete our fun filled holiday. Back in Bali nailed our request with no hesitation.
Maca Villa and Spa greeted us to a compact villa perfect for a couple or friends getaway. A large bedroom, which overlooked an outdoor plunge pool, lounge room and large Balinese styled bathroom. Surrounded by lush gardens we instantly felt relaxed and in a tranquil state. The Mase Restaurant and Wine bar served up delicious food and an extensive wine choice. Complimentary afternoon tea was also available at the Mase Restaurant daily with friendly staff always willing to be of service.
The Soham Wellness Spa and Gym are affiliates of the Maca Villas and located directly across the road. We used the gym facilities daily followed by massages at the Wellness Spa this is such a fantastic addition to their already brilliant services. The staff were extremely catering and always beaming with a contagious smile that made us feel were we always in good hands. The Bali oil massages were our favourite and the complimentary tea relaxed us from the inside out. It’s the attention to detail at the Maca Spa and Villa that really made our stay memorable.
Our trip wouldn’t have been the same without the help of our Back in Bali travel Guru’s. For a first time traveller to Bali it can be very overwhelming, there are so many “must see” destinations to visit, and places to stay. The Back in Bali team helped us choose the best locations suited to our needs with the best rates available. They made it so easy to book and took the added pressure and worry that comes with travelling off our hands. Next time you’re planning your Bali holiday we highly recommend you contact Back in Bali for the best Villas, Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Entertainment Attractions to save you big.
Our Top 5 Must Try’s
1. Café Organic – One word to describe this place Wow! Serving organic, raw and vegan locally farmed produce. The tastiest smoothie bowls and an abundance of choice on the menu there is something for everyone. Whether your prefer eggs or a veggie option our mouth is watering just thinking about it!
2. Shanghai Baby – Modern Asian x French fusion restaurant and roof top bar, the groovy tunes kept us dancing all night long. We were very impressed by the food and the beautiful décor.
3. Revolver Espresso – The baby sister shop to the main café is located close to Hu’u for all of the coffee fanatics. Lately we have been loving our coffees over ice, especially in the Balinese humidity the coffee at Revolver Espresso was probably our favourite in Bali.
4. Potato Head – Anyone looking for an atmosphere with some day lounging by the pool plus cocktails and food on your day bed. This is the place to check out, make sure you stay for sunset!
5. Sarong – An all-time favourite of ours, with so many new cafes and restaurants popping up all over Bali it’s hard to stay ahead. Sarong is still one of the best restaurants around, we love the seafood options!

On our most recent trip away Mee & Mi returned to one of our favourite islands, Bali. We love the tropics and it really isn’t any wonder that we have developed a love affair with the smiling island. The taxi comes to a sudden stop and we look at each other with excitement, we have arrived! As the taxi doors swing open we are greeted with a warm smile and the friendly service of the Sheraton Bali employees. For the next 3 days we would call the Sheraton Bali home and we could not have chosen a more amazing place for our first stop.
The Sheraton is located on Kuta Beach. Kuta is known for its great shopping, restaurants and the perfect beach to learn how to surf. An abundance of markets, shops and activities means there is something to keep everyone entertained. Kuta is one of the main cities of Indonesia therefore it is the best location to stay to be amongst the Balinese nightlife and also easily access other secluded parts of Bali.
As we arrive to our room in the Sheraton we are delighted to see the open plan bedroom to bathroom style ensuite. We are treated to a rose petal and macaroon welcoming and jump straight into our Sheraton robes and slippers, feeling instant relaxation. We spend the rest of the evening on our gorgeous balcony overlooking the infinity pool and Kuta beach.
Breakfast time would arrive and we would find ourselves walking the buffet looking like two children in a candy store. Breakfast is our favourite meal of the day and the Sheraton impressed us with an amazing buffet. A banquet of international cuisines, fresh fruits, eggs in any style and an array of decadent sweets and cakes. A dessert haven!
The service of the staff is exquisite and their attention to detail to create the perfect atmosphere and service made our stay extremely pleasant. Whether you are stopping over in Bali for a short business trip or indulging in a long-term family holiday. The Sheraton occupies a fitness studio, gorgeous pool overlooking Kuta beach, Salon, High Tea facilities and a 5 star dining experience to make any length of stay pure enjoyment. Simply lie back and enjoy the wonderful service and accommodation, we are sure you will be impressed.
Our next stop was Canggu. Just north of Seminyak, Canggu is a new up and coming area and definitely one to check out on your next trip to Bali. Hosting some of Bali’s trendiest health cafes and restaurants, you would want to make sure you have enough time in your trip to experience them all.
In the quiet streets of Canguu we arrived at the Ametis Villa Bali. The walkway filled with luscious greenery and the calming fresh smell of nature. We stepped inside and felt an immediate feeling of inner peace and tranquillity. We were welcomed to the most beautiful open plan villa and greeted by our very own personal butler needless to say we felt like royalty.
Our villa Topaz consisted of a full kitchen, dining and living area overlooking an outdoor pool and beautiful garden. An entertainers dream! The large master bedroom and tropical bathroom were as spacious as they were beautiful. If it wasn’t for all of the amazing sites to visit we may have never left our villa Topaz.
Our butler Padek soon became our friend and our local know how. Padek was available any time of the day and his service was excellent. He organised yoga classes for us and assisted with all our daily needs and queries. A spectacular experience and one that must be had if you wish to completely relax and experience the luxe of travelling Bali. When you step outside your tranquil abode you are walking distance to local restaurants and shopping streets allowing you to explore the gorgeous young and fun vibe of Canggu.
Back in Bali our “Bali Gurus and Travel Experts” helped us plan the most perfect week in Bali. With one week down we could not wait to see what gorgeous venues Back in Bali had planned for week us in week two stay tuned…..
